Moraira is one of the village of the Costa Blanca who is awarded as one of the most beautiful .
You find Moraira between Alicante and Valencia.
It also one of the village at a nearly unspoiled coast.
In the past , till begin 1970 it was a little place with houses of fisherman’s.
Now, it is more a nearly exclusive tourist resort.
What to see in Moraira
There is a little castle on the Mediterranean sea-side. It was built-in 1742.

In fact, it is a re-enactment with street processions , fire and cannons.
This fiesta continues the all week. And ends with a fireworks and late night parties.
How to get in Moraira
By air
From Alicante airport El Altet an hour drive to Moraira.
Then from Valencia airport also an hour drive.
By car
Follow the AP 7. exit Benissa on this motorway. then, follow Moraira.

Even though , the all region is very beautiful you can make a trip from Moraira to :
Do you want to see the famous rock of Calpe ? Than the C 746 take you in half hour to Calpe. The coast road is very beautiful. So take your time ( and camera) to arrive at the Penyal d’Iffac . The 326 meters famous rock in the sea.
Time to discover Javea or Xabia . It take you an 18 minutes or 11 kilometers to another of the most beautiful village along the Costa Blanca.
Perhaps you want to explore Denia. Also a half hour drive along the N 332. The road and Denia are very beautiful, and worth done.
Altea. A half hour drive . If you take the old road the N332, you be will be rewarded with breathtaking views.
In contrast of Moraira : Benidorm. You hate it or you love the most popular of the Costa Blanca. Count about 40 minutes or 40 kilometers.
Away from the coast and the beaches : Guadalest Algar waterfalls. This is old nice town inland. It is an hour drive or 50 kilometers.
